Cavour
Cavour is an island of stone in the green sea of the plain, dominated by the majestic Rocca, which watches over some of Italy’s finest orchards.
- The Rocca di Cavour: A nature reserve and unique geological monument rising 162 metres above the fields. From the summit, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama stretching from the Maritime Alps to the hills of Turin.
- An elite historic centre: strolling amongst the roofs made of losa (Luserna stone), you’ll discover the 16th-century Town Hall wing and the houses linked to statesmen such as Cavour and Giolitti, before reaching the Abbey of Santa Maria (11th century) with the ‘Caburrum’ archaeological museum.
- The art of fruit growing: here, apple cultivation is a historic tradition dating back to the mid-19th century. Every fruit has a name and an ancient history.
