Campiglione Fenile
Campiglione Fenile
Born from the union of two ancient farming villages, Campiglione Fenile is the beating heart of the Pinerolo region’s fruit-growing tradition. A flat and fertile landscape, criss-crossed by a network of historic canals and dominated by expanses of orchards.
The best of Campiglione Fenile
- Here, fruit-growing has deep roots. The area is a true centre of excellence for the cultivation and innovation of the Pinerolo apple, celebrated every autumn, and is the guardian of agricultural knowledge passed down from generation to generation.
- Neoclassical elegance hidden within the village: amongst the village streets stands the refined Villa Luserna, a historic neoclassical residence linked to the noble families of the Counts of Luserna and the San Martino di San Germano. With its large, centuries-old park, the mansion is a private property (not open to the public), but offers glimpses full of charm to those passing through the village who discover it, almost by chance.
- The cycle path toll booth: the old railway toll booth along the former Pinerolo–Bricherasio–Barge line, now known as Via della Pietra, has been skilfully renovated and transformed into a refreshment stop, rest area and small bike repair point, becoming an essential and strategic stop for passing cycle tourists.
- Landscapes and routes on the plain: surrounded by farm tracks and completely flat paths, it is the ideal place for a relaxing cycle ride amidst the tranquillity of the orchards.
